I.R.I.S., a company specialized in Intelligent Document Recognition (IDR), Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Optimized IT Infrastructure (ICT) announced the release of IRISnotes Executive 1.0. The product is a mobile note taker and saves time by turning scribbled notes and sketches into digital data which can be edited on a computer.
IRISnotes Executive can capture notes in more than 25 languages including English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Chinese. The product is compatible with all Windows versions, including the latest, Windows 7. Hand movements are transmitted from a battery-powered pen to a receiver clipped to an ordinary page of paper. Optical character recognition software converts the handwritten text into electronic after the receiver is connected to a computer. Up to 100 pages of text can be stored in the receiver, which after the conversion can be saved, edited or deleted. IRISnotes Executive retains the writer’s handwriting, archiving the written text and exporting it to applications such as Microsoft Word or Outlook. After the receiver is plugged into a computer, the pen can serve as a mouse and is compatible with the Windows Vista and 7 “Tablet Mode”. It recharges automatically via the power supply of the computer’s USB port. IRISnotes executive is very convenient for taking digital notes away from the computer. It is suitable for taking notes during lectures or at a meeting and saves time from typing. “All you need to carry with you is the pen and the receiver, making it truly portable,” said Bernard de Fabribeckers, I.R.I.S. Sales Director. “Using our mobile note taker is as easy as putting pen to paper.”
