Accusoft, the provider of document recognition and imaging solutions, has just released Accusoft USB Scanner, an application allowing Android users to connect a scanner to their tablet device via USB.
Accusoft USB Scanner enables Android mobile device users to scan documents directly to their device via USB. The application scans single and multi-page documents to various formats, including PDF, JPEG, TIFF and BMP formats. It also allows users to share the scanned documents to sharing apps such as Gmail. Additionally, users can scan the documents directly from within Gmail, Google Drive, Evernote, Box, Skype and more, without having to launch a separate app.
"Users can save their scanned document or image and share them via Gmail, Box or any other install application that supports the standard Android sharing," said Tom Setzer, Director of Recognition for Accusoft. "In addition, if while using the Evernote app on an Android device users wish to add a scanned document to their note, they can press the Attach button and choose the Accusoft USB Scanner app. Once the document is scanned, it will automatically attach that image to the note and return the user to Evernote."
The Accusoft USB Scanner application can be integrated into a workflow to provide greater efficiency and document accessibility. The app is available for $9.99 on Google Play.
