The voice recognition applications for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad Dragon Dictation ad Dragon Search by Nuance Communications, Inc. are now available for free in the Czech Republic and Romania App Stores.

The two apps now support the Czech and Romanian languages and have begun their expansion in Eastern Europe. Dragon Search and Dragon Dictation enable users of iOS to easily dictate text for SMS messages, emails, social media updates, and mobile Web.

“Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search have already demonstrated success across Eastern Europe, attributable to the intense global demand for voice-enabled mobile platforms,” said Michael Thompson, senior vice president and general manager, Nuance Mobile. “33 countries later, the momentum behind the Dragon Apps hasn’t stopped – and consumers worldwide can be sure we’ll continue to rollout the Apps in even more countries this year.”

Dragon Dictation is iOS-5 compatible and offers a pop-up toolbar with app icons which allow users to access email, SMS, Facebook or Twitter status bars, as well as the clipboard. The app also includes an Auto Save function retaining the dictated text whenever the users are interrupted by incoming phone calls.

The Dragon Search app enables consumers to speak any search query in order to quickly find information on the mobile Web. Dragon Search is based on Nuance’s Dragon Search Carousel that delivers faster and smarter search results across multiple channels including Google, Yahoo!, Twitter, iTunes, Wikipedia and YouTube.

The two voice recognition applications are now available for free from the Apple App Store in the Czech Republic and Romania. They are also available in the US, Canada, Mexico, UAE, UK, Germany, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Australia, Brazil, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland App Stores.

Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search now support a wide variety of languages, including U.S, UK and Australian English, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Taiwan Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Bahasa Indonesia, Hungarian, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, European and Canadian French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, European and Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, European and Americas Spanish, Swedish, and Standard Arabic.
