Nuance’s voice recognition apps Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad are available for free in Egypt in the Apple App Store, and support the Standard Arabic language.
The two applications provide iOS consumers with the ability to dictate SMS text messages, emails, mobile Web searches and social media updates up to five times faster than typing.
“Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search have quickly expanded their availability across the Middle East, with launches in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and now Egypt in just the last month, providing Arabic speaking consumers with the ability to stay connected with the power of Dragon” said Anil Kumar, Regional Director, Nuance Middle East and Balkans. “And the success of each launch in over 30 countries clearly demonstrates the global demand for simpler and faster mobile interactions made possible with voice.”
Dragon Dictation is iOS-5 compatible and offers a pop-up toolbar with app icons allowing users to send dictated text to SMS, email, Facebook, Twitter, or the clipboard. The app includes a useful Auto Save function which retains the dictated text when the user is interrupted by a phone call.
Dragon Search enables users to speak their search queries in Standard Arabic to find information and answers on the mobile Web. It delivers Nuance’s Dragon Search Carousel that provides faster and smarter search results across multiple channels all at once (Google, Yahoo!, Twitter, iTunes, Wikipedia and YouTube).
