T-Mobile’s Voicemail to Text Powered by Nuance

The Dragon Voicemail to Text service by Nuance is now included in the Visual Voicemail product from T-Mobile USA Inc. Dragon deliver voice recognition capabilities to transcribe voice messages into text, delivered to the user’s T-Mobile Visual Voicemail inbox, or to mobile phones via text message.

T-Mobile customers can now read their voicemails in any order instead of listening to them one at a time.

Nuance’s Dragon Voicemail to Text service offers the voice recognition technology which is featured in Dragon NaturallySpeaking and the Dragon Mobile apps. With the service, it is easy for users to reply to voicemails via text message anytime and anywhere. The messages can be stored or forwarded, and users can listen to voicemails in any order.

“Voicemail to Text offers a convenient way to handle voice messages and is consistent with T-Mobile’s vision to provide our customers more service options to easily stay connected,” said Alex Samano, director and GM of communication services, T-Mobile USA. “Our partnership with Nuance is not only powering Voicemail to Text, it will also drive future innovations to enrich communications virtually wherever our customers are.”

T-Mobile Voicemail to Text is now integrated within the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail application for $3.99 per month, with the first 30 days free. The service is available for English and Spanish. Users can download the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail application on the Android Market.
