New OCR online service is now available online. Users can upload their file and download the result in DOC, PDF, RTF or TXT format immediately. Unlike most other similar services, Free-Online-OCR.com requires no registration and there is no limit to the number of uploads that can be made.

You may upload for recognition any of the following formats: JPEG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, PNG. Scanned  PDF files are also supported. The file restriction for these formats is 20MB, while multipage PDF documents can be up to 10 pages long. The greatest advantage of Free Online OCR is that it supports PDF as both input and output format. The service also boasts layout analysis feature, which allows for recognition of text in multiple columns.
The results are surprisingly good for a free service, and the developers have made sure it is quick and easy to use. Just follow these few steps:

1. Choose the image or PDF file you wish to upload.
2. Select the output format for the document (PDF, DOC, RTF or TXT).
3. Click Convert.
4. You may download the processed document immediately.

The new service is available at http://www.Free-Online-OCR.com
