Accusoft, the provider of document recognition and imaging solutions, has expanded its product portfolio with ImageGear for Java, an imaging software development toolkit (SDK).
The new product enables converting, compressing and saving files in a single consistent format for processing and storage.
Systems for document management process various image formats. With ImageGear for Java, applications can convert, compress, and save the files in common format to make the process easier and minimize storage. ImageGear for Java SDK supports many commonly used, industry specific formats, such as GIF, TIFF, DICOM and others. With the imaging API, Java developers can incorporate low level image processing into applications and maintain high level of control. Users can control color space conversion to have applications maintain color detail when moving from a high resolution CMYK Digital Camera image to RGB JPEG for web display.
ImageGear for Java enables automated image clean up processes to crop, deskew, despeckle, create and resize thumbnail images. For more information on ImageGear for Java, visit http://www.accusoft.com/ig-java.htm.
