Nuance Communications, Inc. has announced that the NDEV Mobile developer program is now available in Brazil and supports Brazilian Portuguese.
The NDEV Mobile supports a wide variety of languages for voice recognition and enables developers to voice-enable applications for iOS, Android and Windows Phone 7 with the Dragon voice recognition technologies.
More than 6,000 developers signed in NDEV Mobile in 2011 after it was made available in North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. Not the program has reached South America to give developers easy access to the Dragon Mobile Software Development Kit (SDK) supporting 22 languages for voice recognition and more than 30 for text-to-speech conversions.
“Given the incredibly positive response to our Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search apps in Brazil, we wanted to give developers the ability to voice-enable a wide variety of applications for Brazilian consumers across a variety of platforms,” said Michael Thompson, senior vice president and general manager, Nuance Mobile. “NDEV Mobile makes accessing and integrating our core Dragon technologies incredibly easy, while providing varying levels of support based on each unique developer’s needs.”
The NDEV Mobile program offers three service tiers: NDEV Silver, a free platform, NDEV Gold, which offers access to SSL data encryption, more deployment flexibility and enhanced support, and NDEV Emerald, which offers a large variety of customization and service options.
The Dragon Mobile SDK is currently available for iOS 4.0 and 5.0, Android 2.1 and higher, Windows Phone 7.1, and via an HTTP web services interface. For more information, please visit www.ndevmobile.com.
