Parascript, LLC, provider of machine print, handprint and cursive recognition technology, announced that Synapses Inc., the document capture and enterprise content management (ECM) integrator, is now a Platinum Partner of Parascript’s partner program.

Through this partnership, Synapses will be offering Parascript’s FormXtra technology with its offerings. In this way the company will be able to help organizations in manufacturing, banking, insurance, healthcare, and other industries to extract information from forms —including name, address, demographic and other data forms.  The extracted information can then be indexed and used across organizations more effectively.

Synapses is an expert in Microsoft SharePoint and Hyland OnBase with more than 30 years of experience in document management and ECM, helping companies manage information. Synapses handles tasks such as document creation, capture, access, workflow, archival storage, compliance as well as disaster recovery.

The company will be expanding its offerings to include forms processing with the integration of Parascript’s recognition software. Parascript FormXtra is capable of recognizing hand and machine print, as well as cursive on forms and looks at entire words, individual characters and fields to improve accuracy.

“Based on what we see in the industry, the majority of businesses would agree they still have a large source of information on forms that is not being tapped, from which they could otherwise greatly benefit,” said Dwayne Ritchie, vice president of sales and marketing at Parascript. “We are excited to be working with leaders like Synapses to make our technology more readily available to extract and capture that information and enable companies to further increase efficiency and benefit customers.”
