ABBYY, provider of document recognition, data capture and linguistic technologies, has been chosen by FileBound Document Management Solutions to improve its document recognition capabilities.

FineReader Engine 10 allows FileBound users to convert various types of paper documents in digital files which can be then searched and managed. The combined solution makes document and forms processing simpler for multiple industries where distributed access to accurate data is of major importance.

"Constantly being asked to do more with less, our customers are always looking for better ways of managing and processing documents so that staff spend less time manually entering documents into the system, and more driving the business forward," said Rex Lamb, Co-Founder and Chairman of FileBound. "After carefully evaluating several solutions, ABBYY FineReader emerged as the clear integration choice because of its best of breed accuracy and language support."

FineReader Engine 10 includes accurate document recognition and PDF conversion that  improve the document processing capabilities of end users. FileBound now delivers OCR to help users streamline document workflows. With FineReader Engine 10 optical character recognition and PDF conversion technologies, FileBound can improve document management and availability.

FineReader Engine 10 is a Software Development Kit (SDK) which allows developers to integrate OCR into their solution. The SDK includes tools for creating templates of fixed forms such as questionnaires, test and surveys. It provides a base of more than 180 languages for OCR and more than 110 languages for intelligent character recognition (ICR).
