Nuance’s Dragon voice recognition capabilities have been featured as part of Samsung’s 2012 premium Smart TV lineup. By integrating voice control capabilities, Samsung will provide consumers with more convenience in how they control home entertainment experience.

Consumers can give voice commands using their natural voice to turn on their TV, change channels, search for Web content, access Samsung’s Smart Hub, or connect with friends and family via Skype.   “The power and simplicity of voice integration as part of a TV interface is clear the moment you sit back and speak to your TV,” said Michael Thompson, senior vice president and general manager, Nuance Mobile. “Working together, Nuance and Samsung are demonstrating how voice truly transforms the digital living room experience.”

Samsung’s 2012 lineup of Smart TVs features Voice Control as a part of the company’s Smart Interaction offerings. Nuance’s technology enables Samsung Smart TVs to deliver a seamless and smarter way for consumers to control their TVs by allowing users to control basic TV functions via simple voice commands.
