CVISION Technologies Inc., provider of document capture and recognition software, is exhibiting at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada 10-13 January.

The CES is organized by the Consumer Electronics Association, a trade association aiming to grow the consumer electronics industry. The International Consumer Electronics Show is one of the largest events within the industry, and thousands companies will be showcasing their technologies.

CVISION will be exhibiting their mobile recognition technology at booth #73004. Applying OCR to mobile technology, CVISION offers a recognition tool which enables users to recognize and process documents by photographing them with their mobile devices.

Through funding from the National Science Foundation, CVISION has developed advanced mobile recognition technology for smartphones and tablets. CVISION’s mobile recognition delivers high accuracy, real-time speed, compression, and screen scraping capabilities. The company’s mobile recognition technology is based on CVISION’s document capture software.

The CVISION mobile recognition technology allows organizations to prove end users the ability to take a picture of a document using their mobile device’s camera and receive information. Chris Koulouris, Marketing Director at CVISION Technologies, said: “We are very excited at the opportunity to attend the 2012 International CES and exhibit some of our newest products. Our mobile recognition technology can improve the functionality of smartphones and tablets, allowing users to receive instant, real-time information.”
