Parascript, LLC, the provider of image analysis and pattern recognition, is partnering with Compador Technologies, a German provider of mail sorting systems.
Compador develops and manufactures engineering and software solutions. The two companies offer an integrated solution that serves private postal operators, enabling quick sorting of mixed mail sorting and reducing video coding. In this way, users can improve the reading rate at the first pass and thus make full use of the maximum capacity of the sorting system.
Compador’s mail sorting product integrates AddressScript by Parascript for recognition of handwritten addresses using standard rules of Deutsche Post coding. AddressScript can recognize addresses across the entire mail stream, such as letters, parcels and flats in handwritten or machine print. The OCR software is available for USA, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Russia, Italy, the Netherlands, and Sweden. “We evaluated several OCR systems and selected Parascript because of its best-of-breed software,” said Karsten Sonnadara, CEO for Compador Technologies. “We are extremely pleased with the results achieved and look forward to many more deployments of our combined mail processing solution.”
“Parascript is proud to be teaming up with Compador in Germany to provide superior mail processing solutions that offer the best read rates and performance available,” said Kaz Jaszczak, director of product planning for Parascript. “We look forward to working closely with Compador and to bringing our best-of-breed technologies to the German market.”
