I.R.I.S. has implemented an Electronic Document Management platform at the Foyer Assurances insurance company, based in Luxemburg, to improve document processing and incoming mail.
The Foyer S.A. Group was looking to automate the processing of its claims files in order to keep all information related to these files in electronic form. Foyer Assurances wished to implement a new solution but at the same time they wanted to continue using their existing business application.
I.R.I.S. offered ple solutions, including a document management solution as well as a document digitization workshop. The solution is a tool which helps centralize the associated documents, used in parallel to Foyer Assurances’ already existing tools. The architecture was based on IBM Content Manager, an archiving application. This solution includes several functional modules, including a Content Manager, a Content Manager OnDemand, as well as a Document Routing. The tool easily integrates into the existing environment because it uses Java, XML, Web services and SOA.
Jean Zenners, Deputy Director, Project Manager and Claims Department Manager at Foyer Assurances commented: "After implementation of electronic document management, our administrators now have some 300,000 documents and 70,000 case files permanently available to them with just a mouse click".
