De Telefoongids, a Dutch multimedia company, has automated its invoice processing using I.R.I.S.’ invoice recognition technology implemented by IS Projects. IS Projects is a software company specializing in electronic invoice processing. The company focuses on the workflow development and automatic matching functionality.

De Telefoongids is a multimedia company currently in possession of the largest database in the Netherlands with information about companies, services and people. De Telefoongids had internal trouble with invoice traceability. “The purchase invoice process was entirely manual, and invoice approval was taking up way too much time. Also any question about the approval status of an invoice was very hard to answer; an invoice had to travel back and forth between several people and it wasn’t always clear who was currently dealing with it”, explains Project Manager Jan Willem Lubberhuizen. “Before we made a decision as for a new invoice management system, some points were crucial for us, like the ability for the scanner to recognize certain fields automatically, the good quality of the archive function, and a flawless integration with our accounting ERP Exact Globe. IS Projects, with I.R.I.S.’ invoice recognition application, scored high on all fronts, and gave us the control we wanted on our invoice workflow. We have automated our approval system related to products and services purchase orders. We don’t lose invoices anymore and the people in charge always have full view on their own invoices. Other departments, like credit control management, can also retrieve older invoices in a few clicks.”
IS Projects first started using I.R.I.S.’ invoices recognition technology in 2006. IS Projects has now decided to sell I.R.I.S. invoice capture solution as its scanning and recognition tool.
